How many data modelers does it take to spot a platypus?

The day before DMZ Australia 2018 started in Canberra, several data modelers took to a nearby state park in search of the elusive platypus.

We did notice something splashing in the lake which we believed to be a platypus (in the distance on the right, you might be able to see it too):

We gave up after some time though and went searching for koalas instead. Koalas are also hard to spot, but these two were posing for us:
